وَٱلْمُطَلَّقَـٰتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَـٰثَةَ قُرُوٓءٍ ۚ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِىٓ أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۚ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوٓا۟ إِصْلَـٰحًا ۚ وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَيْهِنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
Divorced women should wait for three menstrual cycles[118]. It is not permissible for them to hide what Allah has created in their wombs[119] if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. Their husbands have the greater right to take them back within that period[120] if they want reconciliation. Women have rights similar to the rights over them in a reasonable manner, although men have a higher degree [of responsibility] over them. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

والمطلقات ذوات الحيض _ينتظرن_ بأنفسهن ثلاث حِيَضٍ لا يتزوجن خلالها، ولا يجوز لهن أن _يُخفين_ ما خلق الله في أرحامهن من الحمل أو الحيض، إن كن صادقات في الإيمان بالله واليوم الآخر، _وأزواجهن_ المطلقون لهن أحق _بمراجعتهن_ في مدة العدة، إن قصدوا بالمراجعة _الألفة_ وإزالة ما وقع بسبب الطلاق، وللزوجات من الحقوق والواجبات مثل الذي لأزواجهن عليهن بما تعارف عليه الناس، وللرجال درجة أعلى عليهن، من القِوَامة وأمر الطلاق، والله عزيز لا يغلبه شيء، حكيم في شرعه وتدبيره.
