فأذاقهم الله بذلك العذاب _الخزي والعار والفضيحة_ في الحياة الدنيا، وإن عذابَ الآخرة الذي ينتظرهم _أعظم_ وأشدّ لو كانوا يعلمون.

فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخِزْىَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ
Therefore Allah gave them a taste of disgrace in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter will be far greater, if only they knew.
