قل لهم - أيها الرسول -: أخبروني إن جاءكم عذاب الله _فجأة_ من غير شعور منكم به، أو جاءكم _ظاهرًا عيانًا_، فإنه لا يُؤْخَذ بذلك العذاب إلا الظالمون بكفرهم بالله وتكذيب رسله.

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
Say, “What do you think, if the punishment of Allah were to come upon you, suddenly or predictably, who would be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?”
