فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا ۖ قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ
When the night grew dark upon him, he saw a star and said, “This is my Lord.” But when it set, he said, “I do not like those that set.”[24]
[24] Abraham wanted to show them futility and folly of worshiping mere idols by a logical conclusion.
অতঃপর যখন রাতের অন্ধকার তার ওপর আচ্ছন্ন হলো, সে একটি তারকা দেখে, বলল: ‘এ আমার রব।’ অতঃপর যখন সেটা অস্তমিত হলো, তখন সে বললো: ‘যা অস্তমিত হয় আমি তা ভালোবাসি না।’
