5 آية
بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ
Indeed, We sent this [Qur’an] down on the Night of Decree[1].
[1] The Qur’an was first revealed completely to the lowest heaven on this night. Also, its revelation on the Prophet (ﷺ) started on this night.
নিশ্চয় আমি আল-কুরআন নাযিল করেছি ‘লাইলাতুল কদরে’।

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ
How do you know what the Night of Decree is?
আর তোমাকে কীসে জানাবে ‘লাইলাতুল কদর’ কী?

لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
‘লাইলাতুল কদর’ হাজার মাস অপেক্ষা উত্তম।

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
On that night the angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend by their Lord’s permission with all decrees[2].
[2] Bringing down the exact provisions, life, death, and other things destined for the creatures for the coming year by Allah's permission.
সে রাতে ফিরিশতারা ও রূহ (জিবরীল) তাদের রবের অনুমতিক্রমে (১) সকল সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে (জমিনে) অবতরণ করে।
(১) আগামী বৎসরের জন্য।

سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ
It is all peace[3] until the break of dawn.
[3] Upon the believers.
শান্তিময় সেই রাত, ফজর উদয় হওয়া পর্যন্ত (অব্যাহত) থাকে।
