وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
This is how We recompense those who transgress the limits and do not believe in the verses of his Lord; and the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting[48].

{وَكَذَلِكَ} أَيْ وَكَمَا جَزَيْنَا مَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ كَذَلِكَ {نَجْزِي مَنْ أَسْرَفَ} أَشَرَكَ، {وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ} مِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ بِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْقَبْرِ، {وَأَبْقَى} وَأَدْوَمُ.
