واذكر - أيها الرسول - قصة داود وابنه سليمان عليهما السلام إذ يحكمان في قضية رُفِعَت إليهما بشأن خصمين؛ لأحدهما غنم _انتشرت_ ليلًا في حَرْث الآخر فأفسدته، وكنّا لحكم داود وسليمان شاهدين، لم يغب عنا من حكمهما شيء.

وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِى ٱلْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ ٱلْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَـٰهِدِينَ
And [remember] David and Solomon, when they passed judgment about the tillage into which some people’s sheep had strayed at night[31], and We were witnesses to their judgment.
