وَأَمَّا ٱلْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَـٰمَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُۥ كَنزٌ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَـٰلِحًا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَن يَبْلُغَآ أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُۥ عَنْ أَمْرِى ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا
As for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was a treasure under it that belonged to them. Their father was a righteous man, so your Lord willed that they should reach their maturity and retrieve their treasure[39], as a mercy from your Lord; I did not do it of my own accord. This is the interpretation of that which you could not bear with patience.”
[39] Had they not mended the wall, it would have subsequently fallen; they, being young, weak, and surrounded by mean people, would certainly have lost their treasure.
‘আর প্রাচীরটির বিষয় হলো, তা ছিল শহরের দু’জন ইয়াতীম বালকের এবং তার নিচে তাদের গুপ্তধন লুকায়িত ছিল। আর তাদের (মৃত) পিতা ছিল সৎকর্মপরায়ণ। তাই আপনার রব চাইলেন যে, তারা দু’জন প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক হয়ে তাদের গুপ্তধন বের করে নেবে। এ সবই আপনার রবের রহমত স্বরূপ। আমি নিজ থেকে তা করিনি(৩২)। এ হলো সে বিষয়ের ব্যাখ্যা, যে সম্পর্কে আপনি ধৈর্যধারণ করতে পারেননি।’
(৩২) বরং এগুলো আমি আমার রবের আদেশেই করেছি।
