وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُوا۟ لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِينَ
We assigned to them [evil] associates[10] who made appealing to them what was before them[11] and what was behind them[12], so the decree [of punishment] became due against them along with nations that passed before them of jinn and men, for indeed they were losers.
[10] In this world among the jinn and men. [11] Of neglecting the reckoning and account in the Hereafter. [12] Of their disbelief and evil deeds in this world.
আর আমরা তাদের জন্য এমন সঙ্গী (শয়তান) নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছিলাম, যারা তাদের সামনে ও পেছনের (দুনিয়া ও আখিরাতের) কাজকে তাদের কাছে শোভনীয় করে দেখাত। আর তাদের ব্যাপারে সেই শাস্তির কথা সত্য হয়ে গেল, যেমনটি তাদের পূর্বে অতিবাহিত জিন ও মানুষের জাতিগুলোর ওপর সত্য হয়েছিল। নিশ্চয়ই তারা ছিল ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।(১৬)
(১৬) কেননা কিয়ামতের দিন তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।
