Sarcastically, exposing the helplessness of the idols to the people, Abraham said, “I did not do it; rather, the biggest idol did it. Ask your idols, if indeed they are capable of speaking!”

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَـٰذَا فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ يَنطِقُونَ
ইবরাহীম (মূর্তিগুলোর অক্ষমতা প্রকাশ করে) বললো: ‘বরং তাদের এ বড়টিই এ কাজ করেছে। তাই এদেরকেই জিজ্ঞাসা করো, যদি এরা কথা বলতে পারে।’
এই আয়াতে নির্বাচিত ভাষার তাফসীর নেই; উপলব্ধ পাঠ দেখানো হচ্ছে।
